For
the first time in many years Beaujolais
Nouveau has arrived ON TIME! That's right!
The 2025 Nouveau wines from Beaujolais
landed late this evening at Renegade and
will be ready for the traditional 'Third
Thursday of Novemeber' release.
If
you're new to the Nouveau tradition here's
a quick primer:
Beaujolais
Nouveau began as a local tradition in the
Beaujolais region of France, dating back
to the early 20th century, when
distributors raced to bring the new wine
to market as early as possible,
particularly in Paris. The popularity and
festivities around the wine's release
expanded notably in the 1970s where it
became a grand celebration.
Since
then, the release of Beaujolais Nouveau on
the third Thursday of November each year
has become a celebrated event worldwide.
There
are strict laws that the wines cannot be
sold until 12:01am on the third Thursday
of November, so if you'd like to place an
order please do. But realize, Renegade
doesn't open until 11am.
Here
are the very first wines -both from Kermit
Lynch- of 2025:
2025
Domaine Dupeuble Pere et Fils Beaujolais
Nouveau
$24
1.5 Liter bottles also available for your
holiday table
$48
We've
heard rumors that this wine was allocated
this year. Never fear; we ordered early
and ordered plenty.
Juicy
goodness here; fresh, bright, lively,
exceptional quality for a Nouveau.
2025
La Soeur Cadette Beaujolais Nouveau $26
Rounder, a bit more depth, a somewhat
serious wine. Thirst-quenching with
richness and depth that is surprising in a
Nouveau.
There's
the down-low. Call or email us with any
questions or requests. We'll be happy to
assist.
