The 2012 Calera Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard was planted in 1975 on limestone soil 25 miles East of Monterey Bay on Mt. Harlan at an altitude of 2200 feet.

It's a bequiling wine of intergrated & eccentric aromas of cherry, raseberry, red licorice, charcuterie and fine saddle leather. On the palatte there is fine texture with black raseberry, rhubarb and tension wound with a mineral core and a near-endless finish.
We had the pleasure of tasting the 2000 vintage a few weeks ago and are delighted to report that it is still young. Yes, these wines can age decades!
