2011
Foradori Teroldego Sgarzon ($48)
2011 Foradori Teroldego Morei ($48)
-
The grape? Teroldego. The vineyards? Northern Italy
near the Austrian border. The winery? Foradori where Elisabetta
creates these epic wines aged in amphora. Organic and Biodynamic.
-
The closest description we have when asked what does Teroldego taste
line is this: It's a cross between the best Pinot Noir from Burgundy
& the hansomely rugged Sagiovese from Brunello. Epic wines.

2011
Domaine Perrot-Minot Chambolle-Musigny $106
This
is one of those wines that I could not get out of my mind for
days. I thought about it all evening after that first glass. It
was on my mind as I drove to work the next day. By closing time
I had had enough and just ordered the darn wine.
From
90-100 year old vines. A Burghound 'Outstanding'

2009
Ramirez de la Piscina Crianza Rioja $16.50
Our
most popular Rioja to date. Nice black cherry, licorice, minerals,
and espresso, Lively, Savory, Polished.
Great
with chicken mole, lamb gyros, or just plain by itself. |

2012
Dominique Cornin Beaujolais Blanc $18.50
How
many Beaujolais Blancs have we tasted that we loved? Less than
a handful. So last Sunday we were filling up on Fish Tacos at
The Hungry Cat and we see this wine on their list. Hmmm. The price
was right so we ordered and were utterly surprised. A Chardonnay
that jumps out of the glass. Well-balanced, great acidity and
LOTS going on. A perfect pairing with the food. Try a glass then
stop in for a few bottles.

2012
Dragonette Sauvignon Blanc Happy Canyon $26.50
-
White peach, cream, vibrant yet lush with a long pure finish.
WOW! |
2011
Newton Chardonnay Unfiltered $40
Classic
California Chardonnay at its best!
Your best price is here at Renegade (up to $65 elsewhere!)
|

|
2012
Melville Pinot Noir Block M $58
-
Gorgeous purity, and a lengthy finish. This wine along with
their 2012 Terraces Vineyard Pinot Noir ($58) are drinking
wonderfully now but can be cellared for a decade or more.
|
2010
WM Harrison Cabernet Franc $42
What
do we really think? This is the best Cabernet Franc in California.
Period.
Rich
with intens e concentration. Cedar, blackberry, dark stone
fruits, cassis, with floral highlights and a whiff of white
pepper. Awesome Franc!
