We love our Red & White Burgundies. Crisp, lean, mineral-driven Chablis, full-bodied Corton-Charlemagne, Forest-floor, mushroomy Pinot Noirs...It's what the Holidays are all about.

2011 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne $158
This is our go-to wine from our go-to producer for special occasions. Great minerality, balance, weight, and an uber long finish. In a word, lovely!
2010 & 2012 vintages available, 2010 & 2011 in magnum too.

2012 Dujac Morey Saint-Denis 1er $185
There is a lovely floral character to the precise and appealingly mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration while displaying good verve and persistence on the reasonably complex, persistent and well-balanced finish. -BH

2011 Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er 'Morgeot' $115
From a benchmark producer, pure, elegant, with energy and gusto. Floral with white orchard fruit and a wildly long finish.
2010 Chateau de la Tour Clos Vougeot $128
This is impressively ripe yet superbly fresh with black cherry and floral scents that are trimmed in sauvage hints and a background application of wood. There is excellent mid-palate concentration and richness to the powerful, muscular and energetic large-scaled flavors... mouth coating...seductive... serious, balanced and strikingly long finish. A genuine knockout. -BH
2012 Domaine Fevre Chablis Le Clos $112
Intensely floral nose...notes of pear, mineral reduction, white peach.... This is an imposingly scaled wine with its broad and muscular mouth feel that exudes a seemingly endless reserve of minerality on the almost painfully intense finish that delivers flat out amazing length. This is a very powerful wine that is akin to sucking on rocks it is so mineral-inflected... positively brilliant. -BH
2010 Drouhin-Laroze Clos de Vougeot $158
Violets and plenty of warm earth suffuses the rich, full-bodied and very serious broad-shouldered flavors. This enjoys an abundance of tannin-buffering dry extract that confers a sappy texture to the driving, complex and hugely long finish. -BH
2012 Benoit Ente Bourgogne 'Golden Jubilee' $45
Good verve and detail. We found this wine partiularly charming and drinking way past its price point. A terrific example of what a "simple" Bourgogne can be.
2101 Domaine Pavelot Pernend-Vergelesses $40
A soft, silky, seductive wine at a great price-point. Our new 'house' pinot at the wine shopo these days.
